CIALIS contains tadalafil, a phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitor that enhances erectile function.
CIALIS 5 mg is prescribed for adult men experiencing:
- Erectile dysfunction: A condition where achieving or maintaining an erection becomes difficult. CIALIS supports improved erectile function through increased blood flow to the penis during sexual arousal.
- Benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH): A condition characterized by prostate enlargement that leads to symptoms such as difficulty initiating urination and frequent urination. CIALIS can help relieve these symptoms by enhancing blood circulation and relaxing the prostate and bladder muscles.
Do not take CIALIS if you:
- Are allergic to tadalafil or any excipients contained in the formulation.
- Use nitrates for angina treatment.
- Have a history of severe heart conditions or have experienced a heart attack recently.
- Are diagnosed with low or uncontrolled high blood pressure.
- Have experienced sudden vision loss or have been advised against engaging in sexual activity.
Consult with your healthcare provider before using CIALIS if you have:
- Sickle cell anemia or other blood disorders.
- Any liver or kidney impairment.
- Penile structural abnormalities.
- Heart conditions that might be exacerbated by sexual activity.
Ensure to inform your healthcare professional about all medications and supplements you are currently taking to prevent potential interactions. Notably, inform them if you are on:
- Alpha blockers
- Other erectile dysfunction treatments
- Certain antifungal agents
Excessive alcohol consumption can impair your ability to achieve an erection while using CIALIS. It is advisable to limit alcohol intake.
The recommended dosage for CIALIS 5 mg is one tablet per day, ideally taken at the same time each day. The medicine can be consumed irrespective of meals and permits sexual activity at any point during the day.
Possible side effects could include:
Common: Headaches, back pain, muscular discomfort, facial flushing, dyspepsia.
Uncommon: Lightheadedness, nausea, vomiting, vision disturbances.
Rare: Prolonged erections (priapism), abrupt hearing or vision loss.
In the event of any adverse effects occurring, report them to your healthcare provider. You can also report side effects through the Yellow Card Scheme.
Store CIALIS securely out of children's reach. Do not consume past the expiration date. Store at a temperature below 25°C and shield from moisture.
CIALIS is not suitable for individuals under the age of 18.
The active component is tadalafil. Each tablet contains 5 mg of tadalafil.
