CIALIS® 5 mg film-coated tablets
Active ingredient: tadalafil

1. What CIALIS is and what it is used for
CIALIS contains the active substance tadalafil which belongs to a group of medicines called phosphodiesterase type 5 inhibitors.
CIALIS 5 mg is used to treat adult men with:
- Erectile dysfunction: inability to get or maintain an erection suitable for sexual activity. CIALIS helps improve erectile function when sexually stimulated.
- Urinary symptoms associated with benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH): which occurs when the prostate gland enlarges. Symptoms include difficulty in starting urination, feeling as if the bladder is not fully emptied, and increased frequency of urination.
2. What you need to know before you take CIALIS
- Do not take CIALIS if you are allergic to tadalafil or other ingredients of this medicine.
- Do not take CIALIS if you are using any form of organic nitrate or nitric oxide donors.
- Consult your doctor if you have heart disease, low or uncontrolled high blood pressure, or if you have a history of stroke or vision loss.
3. How to take CIALIS
Your doctor will prescribe the appropriate dosage; typically, the recommended dose is one 5 mg tablet taken once daily at the same time each day.
Swallow the tablet whole with water. It can be taken with or without food but avoid excessive alcohol intake.
Do not take more than one dose in a 24-hour period.
4. Possible side effects
Like any medicine, CIALIS can cause side effects. Common side effects include:
- Headache
- Back pain
- Muscle aches
- Facial flushing
- Nasal congestion
- Indigestion
If you experience any severe side effects such as prolonged erection, sudden vision loss, or sudden hearing loss, seek medical attention immediately.
5. How to store CIALIS
Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children. Do not use this medicine after the expiry date stated on the carton. Store in the original package to protect from moisture and do not store above 25°C.
6. Contents of the pack and other information
The active substance is tadalafil. Each tablet contains 5 mg of tadalafil. Other ingredients include lactose monohydrate and various excipients.
CIALIS 5 mg is available in packs of 14, 28, or 84 tablets.
